About D'OR
I founded D'OR for one simple reason: to make high-quality reeds available to everyone.
Since then, I have been trying to add products that the oboe community desperately needs but are either unavailable or too expensive.
My favorite part about D'OR is that, through teaching, I get to share the knowledge I have aquired over the years with oboists all around the world!
About Daniel
Praised for his romantic sensibility and outgoing spirit, Daniel Gurevich is an in-demand freelance oboist based in New York City. He served as Principal Oboe of the Rogue Valley Symphony in Oregon for its 2021-22 season and has performed supporting and principal roles with the San Francisco Symphony, the Richmond Symphony, the Queens Symphony Orchestra, and the San Jose Chamber Orchestra.
Daniel earned his bachelor’s degree from The Juilliard School and his master’s degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. He has studied with Elaine Douvas, principal oboe of the Metropolitan Opera, and Eugene Izotov, principal oboe of the San Francisco Symphony. When he isn’t busy making reeds, Daniel enjoys hiking, listening to vinyl records, and tasting cheeses!
